Fiberglass changes the math. The shell arrives finished, so there is no gunite to cure and no plaster crew to wait on. Dig, set, plumb, wire, pack and fill. No concrete, which is the whole reason we can be gone in four days instead of six weeks.
Utilities are already marked and the permit is already pulled. The crew lays out the shape off the dig sheet, the excavator starts, and the spoil goes straight to trucks instead of sitting in your grass. By dark the hole is out and the gravel base is screeded and compacted dead flat.
Your EvoPools shell is craned over the house or walked in from the side yard, set on the base, and brought level across the whole rim. This is the moment the backyard stops looking like a construction site and starts looking like a pool.
Skimmer, returns and main drain get plumbed, then every line gets pressure tested before a single shovel of backfill goes in. Finding a leak now costs an hour. Finding one later costs a lot more than that.
Gravel goes around the shell and water goes into it at the same rate, six inches at a time, alternating the whole way up so the pressure stays equal on both sides and the pool cannot shift. Each lift gets compacted. This is the step that locks your pool in place, and it is the one nobody should rush.

Ours start at $79,595 installed. The Everest and the Maldives are $79,595, el Capitan is $95,595 and the Sacred, which has a spa built into the shell, is $119,595. Those figures cover the pool in the ground, plumbed, wired, packed, full of water and running with basic filter equipment. They do not include concrete, coping, decking or any hardscaping, because a fiberglass pool does not need any of that to hold water and be swum in. Larger sizes and hard access move the number, and you get the real one in writing on the first visit.
Four days in your backyard, and in the ground within 30 days of the day you sign. The 96 hours runs from the first dig mark to the last drop of water: dig and base on day one, the shell set on day two, plumbing and pressure test, then backfill and water together in lifts, then equipment and power, then startup. A concrete pool in this market typically takes eight to twelve weeks.

Fiberglass usually lands between vinyl and concrete on day one and comes out cheapest to own. There is no liner to replace every seven to ten years and no plaster to redo every ten to fifteen, the surface is non-porous so it needs less chemistry, and in Ohio the shorter installation matters because our building season is short.
Yes. The shell is a fiber-reinforced ViPoxy vinyl ester resin composite, which flexes rather than cracks with ground movement, and it is warranted structurally for as long as you own it. You winterize it like any Ohio pool: lower to the right level, plug the lines, blow them out and cover. What you must never do is drain it.
No, and doing it will void your warranty. A fiberglass pool is a membrane sitting between the earth and the water, and the water inside is what holds it against the ground pressure outside. Take the water out and the shell can lift or deform. If it ever genuinely has to be lowered below the skimmer, it needs a professional and written approval from the manufacturer first. Call us before you touch it.
Excavation, the gravel base, the EvoPools shell delivered and set, plumbing with the skimmer, returns and main drain pressure tested, basic filter equipment meaning the pump and filter set and tied in, licensed electrical hookup and bonding, structural backfill packed in lifts, spoil hauled off, water, chemical startup, your walkthrough, and permits and inspections. Not included: concrete, coping, patio, decking or any hardscaping, plus fence, landscaping, retaining walls, heater, automatic cover and lighting packages, all of which are quoted separately as their own lines.
Yes. Ohio municipalities require a barrier around a residential pool, and in many jurisdictions no water may go in until the pool is properly fenced. Requirements vary by city, and Columbus, Dublin, Powell, Westerville and the rest are not identical. We pull your permit and tell you exactly what your municipality requires at the measure visit, then we schedule fencing and the final inspection around the four days.
Between 7.2 and 7.4. Total alkalinity should sit between 80 and 120 parts per million, calcium hardness between 80 and 120, and free chlorine between 1 and 3. Those are not suggestions, they are the levels the EvoPools warranty requires you to maintain and record monthly. Let the pH drift above 7.4 and calcium starts leeching out of the water and clinging to the surface as scale, which is the whitening you sometimes see on a neglected fiberglass pool.
Yes. We pull the permit and schedule the inspections. Your clock does not start until the permit is issued and utility locates are marked, which is deliberate, because it means we are as motivated as you are to get that done fast.
The clock pauses, and only for reasons on a published list. Weather, rock or ledge, groundwater, buried surprises, mismarked utilities, blocked access, a change you request, or permit and inspection scheduling. We have to tell you within 24 hours in writing with photos and a new date, and if we do not, the delay does not count and the clock keeps running against us. Anything that costs money to fix gets a written change order with the price before we touch it.
$250 off your final balance for every calendar day past day 30 that is not an excused delay, up to $2,500, and $250 for every 24 hours past 96, up to $1,000. It comes off the invoice automatically.
